Literacy Volunteers of Waldo County
Established in Waldo County in 1986, Literacy Volunteers is dedicated to improving the literacy skills of adults in our community. We deliver instruction using a dedicated corps of well trained volunteer tutors.

Basic Literacy Tutoring
You will be matched with a tutor to help you reach your goals. Most lessons take place once a week for 1 to 2 hours. Lessons are FREE and CONFIDENTIAL. This is not a school, there are no "classes" , it is one on one training to meet YOUR reading goals. After your initial meeting wtih us, a tutor will be matched based on your specific goals
Literacy services are confidential. Your name will not be shared with anyone besides your tutor.
Whether you are looking for a short term goal of getting your drivers license or a larger goal of getting your GED, we can tailor a program for you.
