Knox County Child Abuse and Neglect Council
The
Knox County Child Abuse and Neglect Council is one of sixteen
Child Abuse and Neglect prevention Councils in Maine. The Council
coordinates education, community awareness and family support
activities to promote safety and quality of life for children
and their families in Knox County; encourage and maintain coordinated
community efforts to prevent child abuse and neglect; and advocate
for appropriate and timely intervention and treatment for abused
and neglected children and their families.
The
Knox County Child Abuse and Neglect Council is funded in part
by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services and by
donations from many generous Knox County individuals and businesses.
